10 New Year’s Beauty Resolutions

With the New Year right around the corner, by now many of you have made your resolution list on what you want to get better about this coming year. Things like weight loss, reading more books, and taking more trips are usually on the list, but often we forget about pampering and taking care of our beauty needs. Here are a few beauty resolutions to add to your list this New Year’s:

A regular skin care regimen; cleanse, tone, moisturize, and SPF daily and nightly. Exfoliate 2-3x weekly. Mask 1-2x weekly.

Get a professional facial treatment at least once a month. Professional products and extractions definitely keep your skin smooth, clear, and your pores clean.

Moisturize your body after you get out of your shower/bath. Pay attention especially to your elbows, knees, and feet.

Push your cuticles back after you wash your hands and/or get out of the shower/bath and applying cuticle oil. Keeping your cuticles hydrated will prevent them from splitting, hang nails occurring, and your nails from peeling.

Keep a foot file in the shower. Foot files will smooth out any peeling skin or calluses on your feet. They’re also easier to keep clean versus a pumice stone.

Make time to treat yourself to a relaxing aromatherapy bath soak. This is a great way to relieve stress, relax the muscles, and calm the mind. To give your bath that spa like feel, add a cup of Epson salts and 10 drops of lavender or chamomile essential oil.

Keep those cellphone breakouts away by making it a habit to clean your phone. Carrying some antibacterial wipes with you is great way to keep your phone and hands clean. Lots of bacteria comes in contact with our faces and our fingers between all those texts and phone calls.

Deep condition your hair weekly to keep hair healthy. Conditioning your hair with a deep hydrating treatment keeps your hair shiny, tangle free, and lustrous.

Get a trim every 4-8 weeks depending on the texture, volume, and condition of your hair. Regular trims prevent split ends from occurring.

Try to be better about getting more beauty sleep. A good night’s sleep keeps those dark circles and bags under the eyes from showing. Also, your skin will glow and look so much more dewy from the rejuvenation of beauty sleep.

Happy New Year!
