2016 Chevrolet Silverado Review

Born and raised a Texas girl what’s one thing we love? Yeah, you guessed it…trucks! Most of us Texas girls love the outdoors; we’re big on taking road trips to the beach, the Hill Country, and packing up the family or a bunch of girlfriends with an ice chest full of cold ones to spend the day by the water having fun making memories. Having said that, you can imagine my excitement when Castroville Chevrolet let me test drive the 2016 Texas edition Silverado for a week. Trucks are in high demand here in Texas and to those that travel and spend lots of time outdoors. The new 2016 Texas edition Silverado is loaded with great features to make your drive and travel time comfortable, safe, and practical.

The V8 engine and bold rugged new look the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado has made me feel tough driving it and cool with its signature LED lighting accents. Silverado is as smart as it is strong, offering technology to keep you connected like available 4G LTE Wi-Fi®†, wireless charging and Chevrolet MyLink with an 8-inch diagonal color touch-screen display. While on the road I was extremely comfortable; the seats in the Silverado are soft, cozy, and with its different adjustment options (great for those of us that are on the shorter side), I was able to see over the hood and drive without any issues. The console in the middle had plenty of room in it to add your traveling necessities and there were plenty of charger and USB outlets for me and my passengers. On the highway, the drive is nice and not loud at all when on a phone call thanks to the triple-seal inlaid doors, an aerodynamic windshield and a tuned exhaust system reduce noise in the cabin.

Another great feature was the rear vision camera; it helped you make sure the coast was clear when backing up and/or reversing the truck. Loading up the bed of the truck was easy to do also since the new 2016 Silverado comes with a step on each side of the bumper. It made it easy to climb in when it was time to unload our ice coolers, etc. The ez lower tailgate comes down smoothly and you don’t have to worry about holding it as you put it down. With a Max Trailering Package offering up to 12,000 lbs. of class-leading V8 towing capability, Silverado is ready to haul some heavy loads. The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado is perfect for road trip travelers, outdoorsy people, those who haul things back and forth between places, and families that are active in sports and leisure activities. The Silverado comes in different special addition packages, including off road packages.
