Mother’s Day Spa Gift Idea

What do you get the woman who has everything and needs nothing??? One things for sure, Moms usually put themselves last when it comes to pampering. So why not get her things she usually doesn’t splurge on for herself. Make your Mom’s special day even more memorable with a spa/beauty  treatment or homemade spa gift. Nothing says “I love you” like a homemade gift anyway and even the grand-kids can help put this together.

A homemade Spa basket is very simple to make, there are all shapes, sizes, and colors of baskets and containers at stores such as, Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, Big Lots, Dollar Stores, and Wal-Mart that are very reasonably priced.  Fill the basket with lush towels, scented candles, shower gels, pretty soaps, lotions, body scrubs, and a cute brush and mirror set. Be sure you go with your Mom’s favorite colors and fragrances. Try adding some flowers to it to give it that “spa-like” look. If Mom is big on soaking in the tub, include a spa music cd in her basket for her to relax to while she enjoys all the goodies you gave her. You can also find reasonably priced spa music at Wal-mart in the candle section.  Spa baskets as gifts are great ideas and not very expensive to put together.

DIY Mother's Day Spa GiftHere are other goodies you can include in a Spa Basket:

Bath Salts, Massage Oils, Chocolates, Eye Mask, Sleeping Mask, Bath robe, Body brush, Loofah, Exfoliating glove, Pumice stone and nail brush, Facial products, Tea cup with teabags, bath pillow, bath slippers, bath mat, Foot soak, incense, massager, foot massager, mini facial steamer, parrafin wax machine, head-wrap, potpourri, aromatherapy room mists, & a book or magazine.

Hope this homemade gift idea comes in handy, not just for  Mother’s Day, but for anytime you need a neat homemade gift from the heart than would make anyone feel wonderful inside and out.
