I have always been a writer at heart. Growing up, I kept diaries, journals, and notebooks of random thoughts, poetry, rants, and special experiences. There are many stories and experiences that I have been able to share openly now that I have been blogging. To me, writing is my therapy; it’s what sets me free from stress, frustrations, and motivates me to help others that may be in the same situation that I’m in. When I first started blogging, it wasn’t easy putting myself out there on social media; not everyone is going to agree with what you write about and you sometimes receive some really negative harsh feedback. But, it’s those days that you receive comments from those that can relate to your stories and helped in some way that make it all worth it.
Now that I have been writing for a few years, my eyes have been opened up to life, love, and everything in between in so many different ways than I’d ever imagine. What I have also found through writing is not everyone is going to relate to your passion for it. Writing to me, is a form of art. Those that can relate know the feeling of seeing something as simple as a sunset and thinking of the many ways you describe the view, feeling it brought upon you, and thoughts that came to mind when you saw it. Now that I have been to blogger events and conferences, I have been so amazed by the awesome people I have met…people just like me; those that appreciate words of all sorts, sharing their lives with the world, and tips and tricks on how to make things in life a little easier.
Lately, I have been especially grateful for where the passion I have followed has brought me. From meeting my readers, fellow bloggers, and working on a book, it feels good knowing that something that brought me so much joy in my childhood still does in my adulthood. Many friends have asked for advice on how to start blogging; it’s easy. Just start writing. Have you ever wanted to start a blog? What do you want to write about?
Here are some (and there are many!) of my favorite blogs:
Thursday thoughts are a series to share my random and personal thoughts with my readers so that they well get to know me a bit more. We all have a different outlook on life, feelings, emotions, and sense of humor. My Thursday thoughts series is just for fun, sharing, and to make you think of things yourself.

I love the idea of Thursday thoughts!! Writing for me started as a way to escape from a crazy childhood. Now its more of a way to just pout my heart out and give me room to breath again. When I’m happy or sad, I always feel better once I get it out.
